SEO ROI calculators give you an order-of-magnitude estimate — not an exact forecast. The actual return depends on keyword competition, your conversion rate optimisation, how well you execute the SEO strategy, and how quickly you can rank. What CTR rates are used in the calculation?▾
The calculator uses position-specific CTR benchmarks from SEMrush and Backlinko research: position 1 (~27.6%), position 2 (~15.8%), position 3 (~10.6%), positions 4-10 declining from 7.4% to 1.6%. These are averages across all industries — branded queries and rich snippet results can vary significantly.
How long does it take to see SEO ROI?▾
Most businesses see measurable improvements in 3–6 months for moderate-competition keywords. Highly competitive markets (finance, legal, insurance) can take 9–18 months. The payback period shown in the calculator assumes you reach your target ranking by month 6, which is a conservative benchmark.
Is SEO a better ROI than Google Ads?▾
